What I Offer
During term time, I offer after school sessions, but...
If you are home schooling your child and you would prefer sessions during the working day, then this could be possible.
If you are interested in sessions during school holidays, please contact me to check availability.
I aim to deliver the sessions at the tutee’s family home but if there is a preference for online sessions, then I can accommodate that too.
I offer personalised sessions as follows:
KS2 English and maths
- If you feel that your child needs some additional support with a specific aspect of English (including reading, spelling and grammar), or maths then the sessions will be planned accordingly. You may wish to augment your child’s learning in school or close specific gaps in their learning.
One KS2 child:
- I hour spent on English or maths
- I hour spent on English and maths (eg 30mins on each subject)
KS2 siblings:
- If you would like sessions for siblings then I could do a 1 hour session but spend 30mins with each child.
- Alternatively, some current clients have a 90 minute session for siblings with each child having a 45 minute lesson.
2 KS2 children:
- If your child has a friend with similar needs, and you would like sessions which are 1:2, then that can be accommodated with a reduced cost for each child.
KS3 English
- If you feel that your child has lost some confidence or might benefit from some additional support as they make the transition from primary to secondary school, then I can deliver sessions to develop their writing, and reading comprehension skills.
KS4 English
- I offer tutoring sessions for both the English Language and Literature GCSE exams. I can focus on either exam or work towards both, concurrently.
- I will be delivering short courses for specific texts, eg 'An Inspector Calls' or 'A Christmas Carol'. Please contact me for further details.
